From PlanetOut's Fall TV Preview - October, 2000

(Although they got some of their facts wrong...it's still nice to see.(g) - Shari)

Xena (UPN)
Premiere: October 2 -- Mondays at 9 p.m.
Yes, it's the sixth season of Xena (premiering a week late so as not to compete with the Olympics). The season kicks off with an episode called "Coming Home," in which Gabrielle and Xena go back to Amphipolis where they battle Mephistopheles and Lucifer. Episode 2, "The Haunting of Amphipolis," is directed by openly gay Garth Maxwell. The show has gotten a bit too Christian for our tastes since last season, but they're continuing their outreach to Norse mythology as well. We're looking forward to Thor: God of Thunder, and to the nude milk bathing scene in the fifth episode of the season, Legacy (a.k.a. "Two Women in Search of a Chariot Race") which was written by out fantasy fiction writer Melissa Good. On her Web site Good comments: "Subtext: Yes, there be subtext here. These stories are based on the premise that they are about two women who are very much in love with each other. There is nothing more than PG-13 action, but there certainly is a lot of that. If love is illegal in your state, move."
