Although I am not an *official* merpup, I have been a big fan of Missy's, so
I guess I've been a pack member *in spirit* for a couple of years now.
The following recipe was posted some years ago by a member of the mailing list I
run (for owners of pet bunnies - hmmm....can bunnies and merpups coexist
peacfully?), and thought that chocolate addicts among
the merpups might find it a "potent" combination of the best things in
life - alcohol and chocolate.
I don't have an official name for it, but the recipe calls it "Vodkalate".
I'd prefer something more original and having reference to Missy's work, but....

| Pour the contents of a bottle of vodka into
another container and set it aside. Take a block, or so :-), of chocolate, break it into small pieces and transfer it to the now empty vodka bottle. Place the bottle in a saucepan and heat until the chocolate melts. Once melted, pour the vodka back into the bottle and shake well. The vodka and chocolate SHOULD mix nicely! Stick the bottle of vodkalate into the freezer to cool off. The chocolate should not set due to the alcohol, unless you really go overboard with the amount of chocolate you try to get into solution. When cooled, drink! |
